Kat Dennings was born on June 13, 1986 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and was given the name Katherine Victoria Litwack. Ellen Dennings, Kat's mother is a journalist and speech therapy. The father of Kat is Gerald. Gerald is a college prof as well as a molecular biologist. Dennings was raised by a Jewish family and was the youngest of children. Dennings did not attend a conventional school for long but was instead homeschooled. As she was acting in her early years and was a natural homeschooler, it worked well for her. In the year 14 she graduated from her high school. Already at age nine, she started to act in commercials. Then she moved from Los Angeles with her family following high school in order to study acting. Kat Dennings was her name at the time she started to audition. Kat Dennings, who had moved from LA from LA to LA in 2000 made her debut on the HBO series called "Sex and the City". Kat Dennings appeared in "Sex and the City" in HBO.
