Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero is an American actor, singer, and model. She is known for co-starring in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain and for having been the lead singer of the group of girls Apollonia 6. She was one of several female artists that benefited of Prince's involvement in the 1980s. Patricia Kotero, born 1959 in Santa Monica California began her career as a model and actress. In the late 70s she was a guest on CHiPS. The lead female character in Prince's Purple Rain was her first part in the year 1984. Prince changed the girl's name in this period. She replaced Vanity with the female trio Vanity 6 who performed in the film in the role of Apollonia 6 replacing Vanity. Sex Shooter was not a huge success for the trio, but she had a bigger influence as Prince's duet partner in Take Me with You on the soundtrack. Kotero broke up with Prince when they fell out about the fate of Apollonia 6. Kotero was in a few minor film projects during this time however, she was not able to be in the Purple Rain sequel Under the Cherry Moon. Between 1985 and 1986, she got a role in the show called Falcon Crest. Apollonia's debut album debuted in 1988. The R&B and dance tracks were not well received by the public who purchased music. They soon ceased to exist. She remained active (if somewhat under the radar) in the role of actress throughout the following decade, appearing in small television roles and minor films and released videos for exercises. Apollonia released a bilingual album in Spanish and English called Stay with Me in 1997. After returning to school, she and received a degree in making films. Then she founded her business and was employed as a child's TV host. Apollonia is an incredibly talented woman. Apollonia Kotero is an actress also model and a former performer.
