Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American screen and stage actress, best well-known for her films on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the TV show The Mentalist. She received a BA at Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she earned an MFA. Aunjanue is an American actress, producer and director who works in television and film. Her career in acting began at the theatre. Then she appeared on various television series in independent films, mainstream and film. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character in ABC's Quantico. In BET's amazing series The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. Not only did she be praised by critics for her role but also received a few awards and nominations. In 1995, she was the first to appear as Ariel on stage on stage in The Tempest. Stage credits comprise Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production of Joe Turner. Coming to her movie career she is renowned for her performances in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help.
